A wedding cake flavour would be banana.

- What’s your celebrant superpower?

My superpower take the stress out of it.

- What wedding cliché do you secretly love?

I love the hand holding and I also love the sand ceremony.

- Dream celebrity couple you’d love to marry?

Celebrity couple I would love to have married would be Linda Topp and Donna Laxton the service would be full of so much love happiness music and fun that would be a wedding to remember.

Why I become a celebrant?

I love connecting with people, and I love being of service. I was blessed with a happy and long 40-year marriage, and now that I’m on my own, I enjoy being part of a couple’s journey as they enter an amazing future together.

My style is relaxed and stress-free. It can be short and sweet, or as detailed as you’d like—there are no set rules apart from the legal requirements we need to follow.

I’m accommodating, vibrant, and easy to talk to. I love new experiences—whether it’s travel, meeting new people, or simply going for a drive to see what I can discover.

The joy and happiness of being part of a new beginning for a couple is always special, no matter how long they’ve been together. I cherish the romance, the fun, and the family connections.

The services I offer include weddings of all kinds (themed, surprise, or secret), renewal ceremonies, naming ceremonies, and funerals.

I once had the privilege of conducting a sunrise wedding on the beach. It was breathtaking—two beautiful brides from Singapore who brought all their guests with them. The effort and love they all put into the day made it unforgettable. I have also conducted funeral services and memorials in chapels, private homes, and even backyards, each one unique and meaningful.

From the start, we experienced great advice, guidance, suggestions and very proactive. Compared to other celebrants Mary was very reasonable and so accommodating. She made sure her first point of contact with us was to know our plans, our expectations and more importantly to get to know us more via a video call which we found to be very genuine. Mary even invited us a day before to witness another wedding she was celebrating and met us for a brief time to discuss our plans.

This is your day you're very special day and for me it's very important to see that all your needs, wants and desires are met during your wedding service. I like to add humour and fun and I like to make this day as stress free as possible for you and your partner. I am here to support you in any way you need from me as your celebrant.

You can have your Wedding service, at home, in the garden, at a park, at the beach, on a hill, in a hall, in a Chapel.

I am happy to travel to all parts of Auckland for your Wedding service, I offer simple, easy, economical ceremonies from 4 people to 104+ people, I will create a service personally for you and I am happy for you to change the vows and ring exchange wording, you can say what you want, you can have family members saying a poem or prayer or even singing. We have a get to know you meeting before hand, where you advise me of the details.
