I am a down-to-earth wedding celebrant based in Onehunga, I specialise in small, intimate weddings and I am available to couples who are looking for a low-key, personable celebrant who offers a zero-stress approach.

I control the music during the ceremony at the same time to make sure the timing and volume levels are 100% perfect!
- What wedding cliché do you secretly love?
When in the speeches the groom uses the term 'my wife' for the first time and everyone claps and cheers (and a few people to the Borat voice)
- Dream celebrity couple you’d love to marry?
My wifes parents! Been together for 50 years but never got married!
Why I become a celebrant?
— Why did you become one?
I married my wonderful wife in 2017 and the joy of that day has continued to give us so much as we continue our lives togther, I wanted to use my experience in radio, public speaking and events to make sure that others had a wedding that was just as perfect and emotional as mine, and I can ensure it goes perfectly for them.
– What’s your ceremony style?
(e.g., relaxed, romantic, laugh-out-loud, short and sweet…) Relaxed vibe. 100% Positive (no 'ball and chain, your last chance groom' type jokes) joyful and humourous and but still professional.

I was named New Zealands best Wedding MC/DJ 2025!
– What do you love most about weddings?
I get to jump into the worlds of so many different ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds I would usually not get the chance to do. Each one has unique traits but they are all there celebrating life, love and family.

My wife and I looked up the internet and found quite a few celebrants that we made contact with but we were either offered a ‘skyrocket’ price or no flexibility. Luckily we found Mary who when we contacted her was so welcoming and willing to help."
From the start, we experienced great advice, guidance, suggestions and very proactive. Compared to other celebrants Mary was very reasonable and so accommodating. She made sure her first point of contact with us was to know our plans, our expectations and more importantly to get to know us more via a video call which we found to be very genuine. Mary even invited us a day before to witness another wedding she was celebrating and met us for a brief time to discuss our plans.
